When the world needed new weapons against antimicrobial resistance, we developed Enmetazobactam, a novel beta-lactamase inhibitor and the first new chemical entity invented in India to receive US FDA approval. When global health organisations needed a manufacturing partner to bring next-generation antibiotics to low and middle-income countries, they chose us.

India's only 7-ACA manufacturing facility. One of only three US FDA-approved sterile cephalosporin facilities in the world, and the only one in India. Orchid developed Enmetazobactam in the early 2000s, out-licensed it in 2013, and reacquired full global rights in 2025. Some opportunities take twenty years to come full circle. We have the patience and conviction to see them through.

The GARDP selected Orchid to manufacture cefiderocol for 135 countries with the highest antimicrobial resistance burden. That selection followed a rigorous vetting process. It reflects confidence in our ability to deliver critical medicines where they are needed most.
